In fact, I'm done trying to get these beauties to perform(for the long haul) in full sun. Your morning/early afternoon/potted scenario imo is perfect for these. But I know they can tolerate some shade. Maybe next year I'll experiment and leave one out in full sun and put another beneath one of my large shrubs and see which does better.
